I think its especially awesome for Kincaid + Sure Parry! Future releases will show visual indication as buffs near their expiration turn.

Do you think the best approach would be, for example: The outline of the buff being green, then turning Amber for 3 and 2 turns remaining, and red for the last turn; or an actual digit underneath each buff that shows exactly how many more turns it has remaining?

The digit would be very useful after the end of battle when you're deciding which buffs need to be re-applied. A digit super-imposed over each icon might work, especially if icons were a bit bigger.
