I have few times run across a small bug when attempting explore.
I hit "explore" button and while next screen usually informs general stuff about exploring, I instead get empty screen without any text. There is only "Load ship" button. And when i look what i can load into ship, there's nothing.
Thankfully it's not game breaking stuff and all i lose is few seconds.

Yes, I get that one as well. I don't explore much so I forgot about it. Maybe its the result of having no injuries, no crew loss, but also no loot found?

Maybe, but sounds weird if it totally skips one phase because of it. Although those things should be calculated when "Explore Surface" button is used, not before.
Also, this sounds a little bit weird for me: "After several days of searching x crew members were killed by vaporized by some type of volcanic activity"

Grammar Cleaning Robots have been dispatched to the scene.

The bug you describe is a known issue that displays an empty text. The Captain *found* some really sweet artifacts, but the planet stole them due to low richness.
The message should warn the Captain that he may have harvested / found everything available on the planet ... and that he has also flipped some type of currently-hidden ultra-special adventure-quest with shiny secret unique items and ship upgrades.

aah that explains it! Will there be any bonuses for high explorer on relatively easy worlds? Like if the danger is low and my explorer is high... more artifacts/electronics/weapons found? and the ability to cache the extra is missing, if I was really the captain, I wouldn't just leave that stuff!! No way... I'd hide it and come back for it... if they get to it before I come back is one thing, but NO chance to cache it... not bloody realistic!

I can see the side of the argument that you should get free caches, however, from a game balance standpoint the size of the Hold is important for exploration, and drives the character to desire/acquire larger ships.
For the dedicated explorer, future ship upgrades will offer this feature -- something to allow not-Hold-dependent transfer from a Exploration find to a Cache.
