Another update? Do you guys ever sleep? I'd advise some crammers, headlozz just makes you ill Looking forward to getting this update. Any idea why sometimes you have to download the whole apk instead of just the update? Happens at random for me. My data plan can't cope lol. Thanks anyway, love all these updates.

philr1 - you always have to download the whole APK. Are you sure? Sometimes I have got to only 5% of the entire file and it starts to install. My internet isn't that fast. Maybe I have been taking too many crammers. Must avoid using Quarter Speed's taxi Dunno if there is a glitch or not but I have 4 contacts located in 'other' where Malloy was. Can't interact with them.

Must avoid using Quarter Speed's taxi I could be misunderstanding how Google Play works. That would be nice if it did partial downloads or something. No idea! Dunno if there is a glitch or not but I have 4 contacts located in 'other' where Malloy was. Can't interact with them. This isn't clear enough for me to figure out ... what is "other" and what about Malloy? Screenshot, or a more specific description? What screen, how did you get there?

Sorry for not being more specific.
When you go to data terminal, then choose phone you have a list of contacts in specific sections such as connector, data hound etc. I have 4 in a section called 'other' where Malloy and that woman from the story who is your initial contact in the story were located.
Names of 4 contacts - The Alchemist (no picture available for him/her), Captain Cursed, Ms Grin & Nelson Garden. If I try to speak to them, they say 'how can i be of assistance?' but only option i have ever had is to end call. Does that make more sense Fallen?

philr1 - were these contacts there before? Thanks for a more clear description, but it sounds like you have 4 Contacts who are all dead-ends? I can verify by looking at the list of Contacts that these should be listed under "Other" as they have no offers to give you. It is on our roadmap to fix "dead-end" Contacts like this, but it doesn't sound like a bug.

I am 90% certain they have all come from the random events where someone is chasing after you and you confront them, whereby they give you a V-Chip. I can have a look on the PDA to check on list of contacts to give you a better idea of when I have got them. Actually just remembered, I got Captain Cursed from that newish random event where a package is left on street and you need to use your hacking skill to open it. I remember now as I got a new chip which gave me access to 3 jobs at once with 200mb memory and felt really lucky. Next package was Captain Cursed and I felt cursed when he does nothing!

I'm pretty sure those contacts are faction rep based, i. e. They only go further if you are highly regarded by their faction.

I just checked rep, not that high with three of the contacts. Captain Cursed who represents Bravestar, my rep is high though - 154. I am classed as a senior vice president with Bravestar. How much higher does it need to be? Cheers

Ms Grin of the Los Val (Not to be confused with Mrs Grim, who is a Fennian Headhunter) definitely came from a random event with me, without a doubt. But yeah, at the moment she does nothing for me! Part of why CK is my favorite TB game is the joy of discovery. Not working out how stuff works - we should know exactly how the game works - but the joy of discovering a new v-chip is a good example. It always tells you which faction they're from in your phone book and PDA once installed, but what next? Do I like the faction enough to raise my rep with them to find out if she does anything? What if I spend hours levelling it up, then she wants me to assassinate my Fennian compadres? I love all the conspiracy and secrecy. Whilst it's great that completionists, who like to learn every nuance of the game and completely absorb themselves in the lore and the mechanics, will come into the forums and provide excellent companion material - tables, lists, maps - I don't think the Devs should give too much away. Imagine if the Dark Souls developers had a section on their website explaining exactly what will happen with each NPC, every encounter, every boss. They may as well just include that info in the game itself. Of course, there are wikis for every game in existence at this point, but they've been compiled by people like us, fans who have enjoyed that journey of discovery. For games like CK and ST to keep their mystique, it's important we can still discover some things on our own - the 'game' things. Things like 'ooo, a Los Valentino chip. Let's work with them a while and see what happens...'

A hilarious use for those dead-end contacts would just be endless conversation trees about some random topics. You just got a V-chip for the old man who's lonely as hell and been dying for someone to talk to about his grandkids that he never sees, and low and behold you called! In a way it would add a certain amount of realism to the game. Not everybody out there is trying kill somebody else or deliver something somewhere. They have no idea how you got their v-chip and want to know who you are and why your calling and then they hang up on you and block your number.

Can you stick this in wish lists so that when fallen goes looking to read this and implement it, there is some chance he can find it?

Would you mind if I made a thread for this and you could do a little script of what this convo would be like?
