Hi there,
Some of these suggestions would only work for a sequel so not expecting the earth here!
1) Secondary objectives. I love how you can get additional honour or xp for exploration but I'd like to see a description as to why you've earned it. Something like 'Captain Vega finds a Templar Captain dead. Takes his dogtags for his family. + 200 honour'. Or 'Captain Vega finds a datapad showing how xenoforms invaded the ship. HQ will want this intel'. 'Captain Vega finds Star Traders secret spice hold'.
Also why is it only the captain gets the xp bonus even if someone else in the squad got there?
2) Ship layout. I understand the need for having long corridors etc but I feel the layouts could look more like a ship layout. Have long corridors with small rooms going off them rather than dead ends.
3) Survival horror. Limited ammo? Check. Limited health? Check. Aliens spawning when you least expect it? Check! You could expand on this by having rooms lock behind a single squad member and having the rest of the squad going the long way round.
4) Upgrades for squad. Being able to carry medkits. Learning new skills activated by special like the captain.
5) Better description for xp allocation. I have noticed that some skills such as strength are greyed out and cannot be upgraded but have not found an in-game description as to why. I have got two soldiers, one cannot upgrade strength after 3 points after 3, the other has 4 points. Can still keep upgrading warrior. Is there a way of upgrading health? If not, why is there two bars that never fill?
5) Armoury. Looking at the final two scout armours, it looks like the last one is not the best yet you need more honour & prestige. Why? Also I could afford the second captain only armour before the first upgrade simply because the first needs a lot of prestige. I needed to complete the entire tutorial campaign & halfway through the first campaign before I could afford it yet already got second armour.
6) Beam me up Scotty. I have noticed that human enemies can spawn right in front of you, literally two squares away. Do they transport directly there? Aliens I can understand. Easy to use imagination such as using vents etc. Not so easy to imagine human enemies spawning right next to you!
Keep up the good work guys - and the updates. This is an amazing game. Love it.
