Hey!? Hi kris, welcome. I'll be reading your comic with interest. rabid Hello rabid, thanks for helping me correct the script for my comic. It was long time ago, not sure if you still remember. I did not remember, but now I do. I hope it was helpful. It probably could use a second polish after that initial verification. I hope you had additional help besides me? rabid

I love the style you're using with faces, it reminds me of more realistically detailed mangas like Crying Freeman. My style goes for something like that too. I think Im more western about it though. Keep up the good work! You also use color. Inking is haaaard work. Oh, and question, what the heck is an OMGWTF rag? I've been trying to figure out what that means for a day and I've still to come up with an idea! Hahahahaha! rabid

Its a compliment- oh my god what the fuck. One of those stories that keeps you reading but is really bizzare and surreal. Akira is an example

? I know its a complement. Ah a surreal story. Never thought of it like that, but now that you mention it I wonder if Akira influenced me in some way. rabid

Keep up the good work! Crying Freeman (in Thailand it was called the hidden dragon), I never thought about that magna before. Thanks for reminding me. Actually when I was a kid I used to practice anatomy from that comic. But my parents thought it was a porn comic. They threw it away. That was funny. The reason I drew faces a lot is...it's easier than drawing the whole body (lol). I got to think of the way to finish a page as fast as possible. But I realized my comic is lacking variety of characters' posing. Got to do more whole body drawing and add more poses.

There are various guides for drawing you can find online. I tend to look for specific body positions from photos when I'm having trouble. deviant art has a lot of help for artists too.

Crying Freeman, I had completely forgotten about that work.
Have any of you seen Metropolis? I believe the level of detail and care given to that anime is still to be matched in any contemporary work or if it has, then it is still amazing. Almost no background still Toons. Backgrounds everywhere, beautiful gorgeous imagery. Expressive characters. Deliciously detailed water and air particles.
I admit it is NOT one of my favorite anime, the story didn't capture me. Yet, it is one of my favorite works of animation art.

IIRC that was done in the same style as Astroboy.

Page 6 is here. Sorry for the absent and very very late update. I was away for the treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome. It was really hard to draw during the treatment. A warning to anyone who works with computer all day, get some exercises and avoid using mouse and keyboard in wrong hand posture.

Have to agree with Cory, this is fantastic. And don't worry about the time between updates - you can draw/write when you can, and whenever that is is fine. And you can't really be blamed for carpal tunnel syndrome.
