Twice now, I have saved up enough silver to purchase a new ship, and twice now, I have received a message stating I don't have enough silver to complete the purchase. The first time was purchasing a schooner merchant (i think) in West Acadas, the second time was in 4, 3 trying to purchase a heavy schooner. I have more than enough silver at the time of attempted purchase, but both times I had to do a few commissions to gain the silver needed... I'm not sure if the game is only looking at the silver I have when I first look at the ships and ignoring the extra silver I earn after looking at the shipyard. I had to settle for a lesser ship than I wanted bc I sold everything I had.

Let them know what difficulty level you are playing, as I think it effects prices.

En1gma - can you also provide your Android OS and device type? Sounds like perhaps a device specific or difficulty bug. Did you do the commissions _in_ the town where you were trying to buy the ship?

Normal difficulty. HTC one droid 4.4 took commissions from bar and castle of same city, never left the area of the map I was in.

Bug has happened to me again. Normal difficulty. Captain of the starting sloop of war, attempting to buy a heavy schooner in the sea of swords. Port of Zamora. Says I need 1801s and I have 1832s. Did not have enough silver when I first found the ship for purchase, pirated ships for enough bounty then received the message that I didn't have enough silver for the trade. Droid 4.4 HTC one

Just happened to me too. This captain has put 0 XP into haggling, so has a haggling skill of 1. I would not be surprised if somewhere the game is keeping track of things in a pre-haggle state and then calculating things with the haggling in.

I would be very surprised if that was NOT the root cause =)

Maybe unrelated, but the same port, I was unable to purchase S&P even though I had more than enough. The bar and buttons for purchasing wouldn't move whatsoever. Was able to purchase other products. These occurred at the same visit to the port.

These occurred at the same visit to the port. There is almost certainly a logical explanation for that, they're completely unrelated systems. The Ship pricing bug actually was inherited from the Star Traders style pricing engine AoP uses.

Oooops, not fixed at all in next. Right now it says: Your current ship is valued at X and this new ship is a bargain at Y. Your out of pocket expense with a trade-in would be Y. Your out of pocket expense without a trade-in would be Y. Y is always the same value (different for different ships, of course.) Not sure that there is the same problem with out of pocket profits, as I haven't found a ship cheaper than the one I have to buy yet.

You have to have some % above the buy price. I noticed but got more money and then it lets you buy.
