So I got another team to the Underforge. I hadn't completed it with my first team yet and still haven't done so. I'm wondering though how big it is because there are multiple paths through it. The original release of episode 2 said 20 new dungeons. I counted 11* outside of the Underforge that would mean there's 9 underground. That's almost half of E2A1!
So far in the UnderForge I've discovered:
L1: Underhouse Temple (name?) L2: Underforge L3a: Underforge Pits OR L3b: Construct Depths L4a: Smith's Horde (from UP) OR L4b ?? (from UP) L4c: ?? (from CD) L4d: ?? (from CD) L5:Temple of the Arcnid
I don't know if that makes sense to anybody else. What route did you take through the Underforge and can you give me any of the other level names? What was your route? Any you-don't-want-to-miss-this-level experiences?
* Lowland Crossing, Brellim Pass, Darkmoss Ironwood, Darkmoss #2, Pioneer's Path, Brellim Peaks, Waning Moon Pass and 4 Orcin cave levels. This does not count the RH Storage Caverns subquest which was added later bring the total to 21.

contributor - hehehe, you're map of the Underforge is pretty confusing! We are looking at ways to get a map into the players hands or introduce some more guidance. The best thing is to keep going down, down down. You're almost there! You missed one in the Orcin levels - there are 5. Also multiple paths through there, so I can understand how you'd miss some. So, Orcin (5), Underforge (8), Ratkin Subquest (1), Darkmoss (2), Travel (6) ... I think it might even be 22 levels!

Officially that is how many levels exist.
The team that build the Underforge may or may not have a undisclosed number of additional maps waiting if anyone starts to think the place is too small.

Underforge Construct Depths Underforge Pits Great Forges Smith's Horde Temple of the Aracnid Great Maker's Workshop
All paths considered, it is between 57 and 101 fights.

I'm a completion specialist.. Felt like every bit of 101 fights. I even drew up my own map to make sure I got it all since I knew I wouldn't be able to reenter. Place is huge!! (That's what she said..)

And by the way, you get very interesting results if you go from the Great Forges to the Underforge Pits if you haven't cleared out the Pits yet. I'd recommend making sure you're buffed first.

By the way... Vincent casting rank 10 Lightning Spear with maxed sorcery, 12 Knowledge, with +hit and damage gear.. Total glass canon.. Emphasis on canon. KA-POW!!
That, and Tami wielding rk 4 Ranked Onslaught, 12 Dex, and maxed bows also using +hit and damage gear. Let's just say I regularly have been getting 60-140+ XP a round every round since E1A2. :-)

You knew you were going the wrong way. Some cases these anti-navigations lead to locked rooms, some to nasty surprises.

Some cases these anti-navigations lead to locked rooms, some to nasty surprises. I'm sorry, I must be dense, what is an anti-navigation? Going back up stairs into levels you didn't clear. Your party is going to the bottom to find the source of the cult. Heading back up in exploration of levels already passed is not something I tried to make easy =)
