It seems like the future unlocks should be established i.e. filled in with something. Q: Of you fulfill one and it is updated do you get the updated swag?

cab - when the update comes out, you immediately get the swag We are working to fill them all! I was brainstorming a little and came up with a few ideas that you can do whatever you want with ... - Bonus Officer Slot (so 4 total)
- Compartment Shielding (Ship Structural Upgrade): Adds shielding similar to smugler hold or artifact compartment to all of the other "extra goodies" compartments e.g. weapons cabinet, databank, etc. Would probably need to cost a lot. Would affect all installed compartments and cost more for more compartments. Would significantly reduce ship signature and act like the smuggler's hold for the affected compartments. Reason for it is that it seems like the fact that holding those materials in the hold is difficult because it only takes one surrender and they all go poof nevermind having to still manage water-fuel.
- Skill upgrade for mechanic and/or military officer. Brings all torpedoes up to a base accuracy somewhat better than standard faction torpedoes. So more benefit for lower grade torpedoes.
- Skill upgrade for political officer and/or tradesman. Adds significant chance to negotiate away a trade embargoe if you visit a planet for both factions after the embargo begins.
- Skill upgrade for political officer and/or spy. Alerts captain that the target of a contract is other than stated BEFORE the contract is taken.
- Unlock one free local rumor per acknowledgement of a friendly ship if captain has good reputation with them.
- Unlock upgrade to medical bay such that occasionally when the captain is wounded he is healed by the medical staff (similar to mechanic affect on ship damage).
- Unlocks to remove any limits to ship designer such that a person could not design any ship they could find/buy elsewhere in the game (minus alien ships obviously).

I like the idea of a chance of gleaning rumors from friendly acknowledged ships. After weeks in space tongues would be loosened enough to share some info with fellow traders.

1. cannot add, 3 is the max 2. cannot change, torpedo accuracy is fixed deep in the guts of the game engine 3. working on these, relative to Delivery (Exchange, Surface) contracts and related rumors 4. cannot change, that information is generated as the contract is written to the saved game 5. interesting suggestion, i'll do some math to see how unbalancing it would be 6. that's in the plans for a proposed "Doctor" officer 7. cannot do, would make people angry and they'd one star us
