Fist of the shalun award (take victory in 1112 ship battles) only counts victories against faction ships and not independents. This should be clarified.

How about bounty/destroy contacts? |

So yeah, it only counts hostile encounters that you win. I've destroyed 401 ships, which means I've won >401 battles, and didn't get the Paragon Warmaster. I do have 319 victories over hostiles.
Doesn't matter if it's only faction ships or indies, only hostiles.

I think I would have noticed the same thing you have by then but ..... Thanks for the heads up. The poor merchants really didn't deserve the abuse anyways. |

So that means that I'm in for a looooooong haul. My current character reads thusly ....
"You have had 1,169 encounters in space with other Captains. Of the 48 that turned hostile, you have won 48 and lost 0. In victory you have destroyed a total of 78 enemy ships ..."
So yeah, um 1,117 minus 48 then is it? *weeps*
