Yeah, if you had the private beta you have to do a full uninstall because of Android APK signing and permissions stuff. Sorry OK that answers my question !! I'll uninstall the private beta then download & install the new public beta.... Can't wait to see all the new changes & play around some more with it. |

This morning I get an email with a market link to the public beta. At the time of my download android market shows less than 50 downloads. My day goes by and when I get home I check the forum and the market. On the same day of its release a BETA is showing 1000-5000 downloads. Cory my good man, THAT is a vote of confidence if I've ever seen one! Congratulations are in order!

OK here are my notes & comments for the public beta of CK.
Had no problems dl-ing & installing. Had removed private beta first tho.
I looked at Simple level first, I figured everyone else would be doing the harder levels.
I liked the intro & general info that it gives you, & it gives you a starting point also.
the scrolling works good and is very smooth.
Help works good & explains things well.
Nice map when you call the Taxi, took me a little bit to figure out that I needed to double click on where I wanted to go. But works great.
I was able to get & complete jobs. Buy a gun also. Things I had trouble with in the private beta.
This maybe a Bug !! But when I went into the Tattoo Parlor a 2nd time, after completing the job. I was offered the exact same two jobs again. I didn't take the job the second time it was offered.
I had no problems walking from map section to another map section when the taxi told me he was busy and couldn't pick me up for 1 or 2 hours.
Overall I think CK is doing great !!! and I'm enjoying playing around with it.

Glad you had a good first experience. Sounds like the foundation is holding strong. I dropped the taxi request (a better explaination) into the bug tracker (https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dFR4RGF5UEtGdEViNkFyZUlaSldKQnc6MQ&ifq) and we will definitely address that soon.
Right now, jobs can be a little repetitive. There will be some major enhancements in the next few days. if the job is good, and pays good yen, I would suggest taking it again.
Taxi drivers and other contacts get busy at times. They have other customers too, so they can't respond to your requests over and over again.

I have sent Cory a CatLog file with an explanation for the problem I had. Does it still need to be reported in the spreadsheets.goggle.com link that you posted. What is the best way to report bugs or problems we have with the beta releases ?? fallen Yes I'm having a very good time with the beta & it's providing a great experience that just keeps getting better. |

Nemo -- sending me your log cats directly via e-mail is fine. if you post on the forum or e-mail us, we will put it into the spreadsheet for you. no need to worry about double entry or anything, we'll take care of the paperwork.
sending me logcats is like super freaking awesome and reduces my job to "go to this line, fix obvious problem, smile." it's nice.
