It would be cool to be able to name or rename your officers. Either when you hire them, or from the officer screen menu. Give them a nickname or create a deeper and more immersive world by hiring Zoe the bodyguard, Wash the pilot, Jane the military officer, Kaylee the mechanic, Inara the political officer, River the spy, Simon the trading officer, Shepherd the veteran (Reduces crew morale when fighting non-aliens...lol) you see where I'm going with this. ; )
