- So I was closing in to "shake hands". - Went for my barrage guns. - Then clicked on the enemy ship. - The game froze up for about a sec. - Gave them a hug. So awkward man...

Ugly -- that is a bug of some type where the AI made a ship that didn't register with Collision

Seems like it, Next turn two alien ships moved in and attacked me while I was over their comrade.
Don't know if it means that I already blew of the ship but it didn't erase itself, or it just isn't there anymore. Well, it is there, just not alive.

I've actually experience something similar, was coming online to post my bug report. Posted it up, take a look, maybe we had the same situation?

Move off of the ship (make the map look correct 2. end turn 3. quit and reload

Yeah it's wrong when the planet produces a ship. Just had one build an alien ship, and it was untargetable right away.
