Hi everyone,
Today, a pacific discussion with some Mars enforcers turned kind of badly (Oh, what a surprise !) and my old good Joshua who betrayed their corp couldn't handle them, so I ran. But in the process, one of my newly recruited sniper runner got stunned and I had to leave him behind. This gave me an idea :
Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you the wonderful concepts of CAPTIVITY and VENDETTA !
The idea is simple : if one of your allies/runners got stunned or killed in a battle, it has consequences.
CAPTIVITY : Your Runner has been stunned. Two options :
When a runner gets captive, he gives information about you to the faction that gets him ; your current job, the safehouses he knows you have, the last hotel you stayed in... and this can have repercussion on your next days as a cyber knight. Here comes a few examples again :
Captivity could also be extended to your own CK ; if you get stunned, instead of leaving you lying on the ground, they could take you and interrogate you in case you know anything. This could take a few days and may decrease you rep with the faction you have the best reputation with (as they are the most likely to let any information leak to you).
This is obviously open to any idea or suggestion.
VENDETTA : Your Runner has been killed.
This idea has already been approved by fallen, so I though I would develop it more here, and it is also open to other ideas or suggestions. I like the idea of keeping a trace of who killed your runners and when, so you could remember who to hate and what for.
I think theses two ideas are also good ways to make the Note Book section more useful than it already is ; except in MnB and to remember your game settings, it has no real interest for the moment. I think it deserves to have a bigger place in the game.

- The first, you win ; at the end, you get a message explaining that : "You picked up [RUNNER GUY] and made sure he was all right. He will recover and soon be available again.". The message can both appear in the end battle screen and in your Note Book, although this second version could be longer, like "[RUNNER GUY] got stunned in a battle against [FACTION] enforcer. I picked him up and made sure he was all right. He will recover and soon be available again." for example.
- The second, you flee ; at the end, you get a message explaining that : "You left [RUNNER GUY] when you fled. Your enemies will certainly interrogate him.". Once again, it could also appear both in the end battle screen and in your Note Book, like "[RUNNER GUY] got stunned and a battle against [FACTION] enforcers. I had to leave him behind, so they will certainly interrogate him. He will not be available for a while. I should also stay low.".

- This may result in a massive heat increase (but I am not convinced about that one ; too simple, too easy. Just heat would be a shame in my opinion).
- This may add a special ambush that could happen (on a dice roll until it happens) the next few times you finish a job, rest to a hotel or a safehouse, or get in a backroom. Once the ambush is done, everything gets back to normal. I prefer that one.
- If bounty hunters are added to the game, it could be a reason to put some on your bacon.

That would also leave another entry in your Note Book, explaining that "Your [RUNNER/ALLY] [RUNNER GUY] has been killed by [FACTION] enforcers." If he was just a Runner, it could continue with "What a shame. I will have to find another one.", but if he was a Ally, it could continue with "I will avenged his death.", showing that you care more about him as you invested time and certainly a bit of friendship in him.
