Last message sent between researchers who worked on the terrox project:
"Wait. I thought *you* were implementing the check that keeps them from attacking our side. You thought *I* was doing it?"

Last message sent between researchers who worked on the terrox project: "Wait. I thought *you* were implementing the check that keeps them from attacking our side. You thought *I* was doing it?" Many have come to believe that the mix of creatures humans call the "Xeno" were created in the final phases of the ancient wars, perhaps as long as 100,000 years after the creation of the Zendu worlds. Another theory is that they are a much earlier form of the weaponization of local species that was so prevalent in that conflict, and simply didn't reach critical mass until 250,00 years after the old wars ended.

Or they started out as microbes that became drug reisitent. With no predators the just grew up the food change over the millenia

The Xeno are an abandoned, malfunctioning biological weapon created a quarter of a million years ago, programmed to consume and destroy all forms life in the universe. That is soooo cool! Reminds me just a little of the planet destroying cone weapon in the old Star Trek episode. But these guys are way worse and huge in number. I think the scale of time you put them in really increases the feeling of just how old life in the universe is.

Yeah somebody forgot to install an off switch in them, like you should do with any self thinking weapon.

But who could get close enough to HAL 100000 to shut him off?
