So I'm clearing out the store rooms and see one of my first ratkin skirmishers. Interesting, look at his stats, he's level 10! and my group is level 17 (and one on 18). He dies in one swing, but every body else just won't die. I pull them up, everyone else in the room is level 25! Brutal! I did kill them all though. The next group enemies was all level 20, which seemed about right. Hopefully I don't meet any more level 25 enemies down there, especially not a level 25 Deathkin. I think he could kill my whole team with impunity.
The room with the weird enemy levels was if you go, from the stairs, one room south, one room east, one room north. It's a dead end room with only one door which is what really saved my bacon.

I had the exact same scenario... I was laughing at this little skirmisher when a level 22 Deathkin and a level 23+ shaman rounded the corner. Selen and KJ both shouted 'fall back!!' at the exact same time... Thank the Nine for bottlenecks and good shields!

This was related specifically to the level of the Skirmishers. Fixed for next!

Had 4 deaths in a row opening that hidden door, lol- may the Nine help Selen if she fails her stealth save on that one- I ended up shouting at my phone and just having Vraes open that one... Had a level 22 deathkin hit her twice at 180 apiece then an archer hit her for 103 and she basically spontaneously combusted on the spot. We made it through and I have high hopes for the future, although I decided to begin a new game tweaking KJ to use only buff/curses and forego directly attacking things until firestorm comes out, then focus on that. Apparently I need better support from him so at least this helped me realize the flaws in that build. For that I thank you.

I think I'm going to wait until this gets patched. I don't even want to imagine meeting a level 25 Deathkin. ST4X here I come!

The Deathkin aren't a *major* problem for my party (normal for now), it's the level 23-24 shamans that completely bypass my armor that fks me up. Which is exactly why I began anew with KJ buffing... I'll also throw a few points into willpower and see if that helps. If you don't mind dying, these storeroom fights are a great test of a party- every one of those fights was harder than Groth, Arhaive and Geraux in any combination. Plus the archers attack past the front ranks! Talk about a hell level =) Fun though- great sense of accomplishment for fighting swarms 5-6-7 levels above your own and coming out alive.

I had a hell of a time in one room as well, I imagine this bug was why. I'm glad to see it wasn't just me. Thank goodness for curses, potions, and patience! :-) Maybe I should pay attention to mob levels instead of just armor and resistance? lol

You forgot corners and bottlenecks... Nut kicking, hair pulling, teeth and nails... Hitting below the belt... Lol

17. On my latest party Fyona was 15 xp away from level 18 after the Baron so she hit it on the first fight. Everyone else will take awhile, since I had her kill all the bosses.

I just couldn't resist. Fighting off a Deathkin that is 8 levels above your party is about as much fun as a Narvidian Hive that's almost 4x your level. Thank the 9 for Tamilin, who was the only one who could hit him.

Great work! The monster leveling system takes the average of the monsters in the room before calculating their "level up" to match the characters. So, having even one or two level 1 Skirmishers mixed in bumped all the other enemies up in power.
