Would like to see more planets. And oddities.
The density in the maps seems a little sparse.
The game is good so far but the enemy is definately in anhilation mode.
I maxed out mining and during war go negative on cash flow ... not sure how this can happen.
No new influences. Doesn't seem like the mines matter much after the first few on profit level.

Crimson - did you upgrade to Mine 2s? Every mine produces some revenue. You can check your Empire Summary screen, to see what you are paying for colonies / ships. Its in the right column, organized as "Ships XXX/YYY" where XXX shows what you are really paying and YYY shows what you could minimally pay if everything was at its lowest (ships all healed, all in green space, all refueled). Same with "Colonies XXX/YYY" where YYY is if the colonies are all happy, with the right amount of population.

fallenWasn't advanced enough in the research for mines 2. Does the let me double mining ability or just less mines for same number? Was pumping mines as research was spread across every thing.

Crimson - the best way to figure out what is up is the Empire Summary. You may find that you're colonies are overpaying because of population or morale and you need Spice Halls or Housing. We are continuing to work on making this easier to grok, at the moment it takes me numbers. Do you have a big fleet? That can also burden any economy. Mines 2 will allow you to get 2 Mining points per upgrade. In most of my games, if I have a big mining world, and know that I am headed to Mines 2 tech, I will build enough mines to cover 50% of the Mineral on the system. As soon as I hit Mines 2, I upgrade them all for a big economic boom without having to demolish anything.

Do for my colonies $, my xxx is greater than my yyy. why would u then want happier colonies if they are making less money?

nails - XXX is what you ARE paying. YYY is the lowest you could possibly pay if you straightened out all of your colonies.

So that is expenses, not income. For some reason I thought it was the reverse

So, are more planets gonna be added?

kyleobrien - you are playing on two basic maps. The map selection will include size and density. So, some maps will have more, some maps will be more scarce. Part of the fun of playing a 4X game is having lots of map variety!

fallen then maybe I have a bug. I've been playing on the big map and for the last 4 games everything has been in the exact same space. I know where an anomaly will be even if I don't see it. Maybe a bug?

Fantastic that we will have the option to have more or less density! Also Mine 2 is TOTALLY worth it, essentially doubles your income, which helps IMMENSELY when the Xenos attack all of a sudden.

The best part is the ratio of maintenance / profit is reduced.
