Forced Trade-in when buying new ships?

I don't know if this is a bug or not.... But I am never given the option to buy a ship outright, without being forced to trade in my old one.
As in ST, we can at least store previous vessels at the port in which the new one was bought.

anaxis - dry dock is not a currently available feature in Age of Pirates, so you are seeing the intended behavior.
