Hey there Cory Trese and fallen, just curious if you can give us any info on IAP. I have a small idea that I think would be really cool, but I'm not sure if it is possible with your current model. Cosmetic IAP would be a really neat way to have some extra content for those of us that like to support you guys without changing the base game too much. Your new art for the ships in the alpha is really amazing, and I don't think I'm alone in hoping that there is much more where that came from. Having an expanded ship sprite IAP would be cool, or maybe a way to select the art your ships will use when starting the game? Other then that, just curious what kinds of plans you have? Obviously if it's just pie in the sky planning at this stage then don't worry about telling us, but I'm sure we'd all like to hear what kind of ideas you guys got rolling around in your heads.

For me, IAP would possibly include one or more of the following: 1) Tech tree restrictions on free. Pay to unlock full tech tree 2) Customized difficulty ... actually this isn't one that I think would be for IAP, but it would be cool! Select the number of AI. Select the AI types (Aggressive, Conservative, Techy, etc) 3) More map variety/size/randomness? 4) Bonus starting ships - more colonist ships? (Aside, has anyone noticed that the templar defenders are pretty much a waste for the first part of the game. They just sit in orbit twiddling thumbs and burning resources until the Xenos appear) 5) Bonus planetary upgrades 6) Cat attacks from out of nowhere. They are more prevalent if you play the Houses and really only against Steel Song colonies.

All good ideas, slayernz. I actually like 2/4/5 the most, maybe allowing an IAP purchase that will let players have more "mutator" control over their game. Things like setting tech speeds, restricting/limiting AI/player use of things, etc. Also, on the topic of 3, if possible a "generated" map might be a really cool IAP. I'm sure the generator would occasionally spit out a totally brutal map that would basically guarantee a loss for the player, but who cares!?

There will be an Elite IAP and a paid version of the game as well.
The Elite edition will include
- All 6 Factions (Syndicates AND Houses) - Expanded Tech Tree - Custom Difficult - All Maps
The Free edition will includes
- 50% of the Factions (The Syndicates) - 50% Tech Tree (The Core) - 30% of the Maps
We're going to keep it super simple this time.
Play as much as you want for as long as you want in Free.
After we have satisfied the core of the game, we will add DLC expansions.
Pie in the sky concepts for those:
- 6 More Factions + Faction Specific Tech Trees - Computer AI Playing Factions - Ship Skins Pack - Cat Attacks

All the yes! Question though, will we Alpha testers get Elite for free, or will we have to buy it?

Brutus Aurelius - none of the mobile markets make it possible for us to give away games. Sorry, that's why we give away PC copies for Alpha. I hope this was clearly described in the Alpha page.

Well I have to say that being able to play a game like this on a mobile decice is a big plus. And a shame that the markets don't let you give away free copies.
So what do you plan on pricing this game once it's out?
