I ran across a bunch of independent trader flags on my colonies. This only happens when i let another planet other than prime make a colony ship.
Is this planned for or is this a bug?

Crimson - "ran across"? Can you give a bit clearer of a description of what is going on?

Crimson - "ran across"? Can you give a bit clearer of a description of what is going on? Nope, that's true -- there was a bug where your Independent planets will build ships. And you could use that to build Colony ships and then put Indy colonies on good worlds. Really bad for your economy =)

Cory Trese fallenExample: Rychart prime builds a colony ship and colonizes rift world. Rift world carries rychart flag. Rift world builds a colony ship and ship colonizes another world. This becomes an independant planet. Crimson

Crimson - in the case where a planet is not doing very well and the people are unhappy, you may have an Turn Event in which the Syndicate sells or releases the solar system to the independent traders. They are no longer interested and its flag will flip. That seems to be most likely the cause of your issue. Once a colony flips Indy, it should not be able to build ships anymore - it no longer serves the faction military. However, there is a bug that is letting you build ships, so it sounds like your Indys are colonizing more Indy worlds? When Rift built a colony ship, what flag was flying over Rift?

Why wouldn't indies build & sell ships via trade agreements? You'd think they'd need trade even more.

dayan - indies are building ships for themselves and Star Traders. They are not building Faction ships for the line military.

dayan - indies are building ships for themselves and Star Traders. They are not building Faction ships for the line military. So they do have enough resources to build ships, or at least some of them do.

So they do have enough resources to build ships, or at least some of them do. Some of them do. And in an agreement between all involved parties a Treaty HAS been signed that will allow, under some approved circumstances, Independent Star Traders worlds to provide Ship Designer in ST RPG. I know that is where this is conversation is going. It is clever, using your Alpha Membership to submit feedback that applies political pressure and forces the Treaty with ST RPG. Well played, sir, well played.

Why thank you kind sir. One must know how to swim in between politics if one is to control three factions in Xenox space.
