Repeated attempts to pry information out of our beloved developers concerning the differences betwixt the different classes have been to no avail. (jeez is like they're releasing a new game or something 
) Therefore- if anyone knows for certain that a class gets a certain bonus whereas another does not, this is now the place to let everyone know what it is. Also theories concerning differences should be posted here, so that we may test them as a group and come to a consensus. I'll post a list of 'suggestions' I had made at one point that Corey had said could very well already be in the game.
""Inherent abilities dependant on the captain- Knights getting commission bonuses for war commissions or morale bonuses while on commission for home nation, or home town advantage and prices when buying ships, could be based on rank... Merchants getting a quantity boost for buying goods or a small price increase percentage or higher starting gold to start trade routes earlier... Smugglers having a compartment for gold and commissions to be hidden in... Swashbucklers having fencing bonuses...""
Also- I'm personally not sure about what sets the Swashbuckler apart from the other classes, so if anyone has noticed what bonuses this class could be receiving, please make sure to post it!
Confirmed (?) Is that the Knight rises up in the ranks faster than any other class.
