Okay I don't know if anyone has mentioned it before (I've been running round like a head with it's chook cut off), but SURELY in times of Dire Straits like the post Exodus blues, there would be some research paths that would allow U2 control population growth. Heck, it might or might not work, but if you're constantly worrying about where to house the rabbits in your hab units, You're probably looking for The Cure ... Nirvana that would let you actually focus on mining and construction rather than The Offspring. Even if it's a Placebo, if you can control population, (aka take care of the Misfits), you can really move out of the Led Zepplin era and into some serious Arcade Fire. In summary ... it would be cool to have under the Politics research options basic population limiters, that would allow you to temporarily slow growth rates for your colonies. They would be the opposite of Spice Festivals

Cory said it represented refugees trickling in fro the exodus. But you know when they landed, when theyvrealized they had a new world to explore and conquer out came the party hats and that 30 year old bottle of fermented engine degreaser... do the math.

A new set of rules about early game population growth (not yet released), the ability to re-prioritize your build queue (released), and the ability to subsidize projects for a rush (not yet released) should basically set you up fine. Future treaties will help you move population around between Faction worlds.

Haha .... if you had a Steel Song planet, you'd just turn it into a pile of Hab units and dump all the colonists there. They will inbreed, mutate, and turn into the Steel Song that we all know and looafave .... looavvve .... nope, can't say it. The name Steel Song and the word Loooaajfe just don't work together. beuns I exhausted my rock band vocabulary

I wonder if Slayernz, with his hatred for SS, started his Exodus as Steel Song. It's an amusing thought even if it didn't happen.
