starting out positive: i love the game, this community seems great and i'm having a ball it seems like the wiki is having a hard time getting off the ground. it would be sooo useful for new players, old players, people who have been away from the game for a while etc etc suggestions: 1) it should be publicly viewable but privately editable. forcing people to register in order to view the wiki is a bigger obstacle than you might think 2) any reason we can't use one of the many free services that make this really easy? if you want ad revenue or more control that's totally cool, god knows you've earned it. but lets get it up and running! if we got a decent publicly viewable wiki going it would make the game a lot more accessible to the less hardcore gamers out there. and that can only mean more wild success! :-) and finally: kb2.adobe.com/cps/093/4c093f20.htmli am also getting a lot of these flash player warnings from some of the ads. would be great if those could go away and i don't want to give that kind of access to an advertiser. probably just one of the advertisers in your network pushing the limits a bit

1: OK, does anyone have time to make this happen? We've already loaded content, so I would prefer to just use that.
2: Free services require that you run adds. we're using ST RPG money to host a server for the web sites and stuff, and i did a setup and install of the wiki package (I even got registration working.)
finally -- those ads belong to proboards. we could pay them a monthly fee to ride ad free, i'll find out how much it costs.
sorry this hasn't been a smoother setup, especially from a documentation standpoint.

Okay - I've made all of the pages viewable by anonymous people. One problem I am trying to figure out is why the images aren't currently showing up. Only the text/layout. I'll update once I have the images sorted out. Go to www.tresebrothers.com/strpgwikiEnjoy Update: YES, I got the images thing sorted. The Wiki is UP and LIVE ... I'm kind of excited although all my Rychart hats are off to Liz for the amazing amount of work that she has done to get the content to the state it is. We'll have to start a new thread to monitor things that need to be updated in the Wiki.

nice. thanks for all the hard work! this is a really useful resource i noticed that when you have clicked on a link it turns purple and becomes very difficult to see against the dark background. i did a little digging and this css rule should fix it: a.ha:visited, a.wiki:visited { color: #69C; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none; } this might be a good stylesheet to drop it into: www.tresebrothers.com/strpgwiki/styles/darkroom.cssthanks again! this makes many aspects of the game more approachable

Colors for visited links changed and they are definitely easier to read. Sorry, didn't use #69C, but it's good enough until someone more biggerer than me changes it
