First off, great game. For a game that you guys just started, the game is highly addictive. That being said, it is a bit easy. I played on Normal difficulty for hours and I never even got close to dying. I didn't even get a ship blown up or a planet damaged, and internal conflicts, although hurtful to progress, did not seem to do merely enough to threaten my profit and progress. This was my first time playing. I figured I'd up the difficulty, but even on Hard, although of course it was harder, there still never seemed to be any real threat to my progress. Now it could be that there begins to be major threats later on, but IMO if it takes more than an hour of gameplay to get some type of reasonable threat it's too easy or it's taking too long.

Do you enjoy playing ST on Normal? Did you ever? Not now, but when I first started playing I did have to start over several times, on normal and when I eventually got to challenging. If your intention is to make Normal so easy that its impossible to lose, perhaps you should say in the description that Normal is meant for beginners, and is not meant to provide a substantial challenge or deadly situations. Still though, even on Hard it just seems like there isn't much of a chance of me dying or getting seriously hurt, at least based on what I've seen.

That's very interesting feedback. I'm getting a lot of e-mails saying the exact opposite.
What map are you playing on? I'd love to hear more details beyond the vague information above.

@starfixer : did you saw the Xeno 2nd attack ? The one that seem to never stop ? I am working on that AI and adding some Political options to help manage the endless attack. You will soon be able to pay the Faction's Star Trader RPG Captains to spy on the Xeno and give you advice about why/where/when they're attacking =)

Wow ! THAT would definitely help ! Just for the fun of this joke : any ETA ? Maybe a few hours, at worst a day or two. I'm preparing another update tonight, but I am not sure how many of the features will pass testing.

I'm more or less surviving on easy mode. I get to survive long enough to learn more about how to play. Maybe add a Starfixer mode where some Xeno have cloaking devices Sent from my GT-I9300 using proboards

Oh okay well I just experienced an attempted Xeno takeover. It was super easy before that, but once the invasion happened it became really hard. I take back what I just said about it being too easy. Now I understand the point of those swarming Xeno warnings also.

Now I understand the point of those swarming Xeno warnings also. Not sure if on the tuturial map the advisor warns of the Xeno attack before it happens, but if she doesn't you should add something that warns you of it ahead of time. Prehaps change the "swarming xenos" warning to a more specific warning like the following: There have been reports of a growing Xeno fleet heading your way. The council recommends stationing ships outside your colonies and bulking up planetary defense in case of an invasion.Or you could always have the advisor saying something like that.
