Out of curiosity, how many people are in '1' population? 1,000? 100,000? 1,000,000? 1 billion?

Definerly not 1 billion. Probably one million or one hundred thousand if I had to guess.

Definerly not 1 billion. Probably one million or one hundred thousand if I had to guess. They come on a single ship, I would assume 100k would be the max a colony ship would have if we are being realistic. Probably less. Think about the space 100k people would take up and the resources needed to deal with that number. Now put them on a tin can in space. The planets are not drawn to size, because a ship the size of a planet (both take up one square space) would be a pretty damn big ship. "Its heading for that small moon..." Again My guess would be 10k to 100k if we are trying to establish a realistic lore, but its the devs baby in a world they have created, so they can come up with a number.
