@mw1 - many of the flags in Star Traders were inspired by different real flags in the world today.

Where did the others come from? I can guess Thulun's is Spanish in origin.

haha nice. it would be great if we could know the origins of the other flags too!
it was quite surprising to me as we were taught at length on the various meanings of our flag in school, from the 14-pointed star and the crescent moon to the meaning of the colours. so... cadar is an islamic country made up of 14 states, with blue signifying unity and yellow signifying the supremacy of the king? joking, joking... =D
