I know I know I know - it's something that would unbalance the game a bit, but wouldn't it ... I mean really think about it ... wouldn't it be absolutely awesome if you could put gear into a "cache" that you can access at any inn with ANY party? Any other party that you create (or have created) can get access to it. For clarity, I'm not saying you can all share one item - items in the cache leave the cache when they are equipped on a player, and there would be limited space in the cache (for say 10 items). I was playing over the weekend with one party and found I had a significant excess of stuff. I don't want to sell it because I won't get much for it, and think it would be awesome for replayability being able to use some of the gear. Helping with the balance ... Put level minimums on some of the gear Put minimum stats on the gear (like STR or DEX) First cache won't be accessible until first town - so you still have to battle your way out of the keep and through the maze of caverns underneath it Limit of items in the cache so you can't have hundreds of things stored away.

Sounds cool slayernz only issue is this could make low Lvl parties EXTREMELY overpowered

Definitely, hence adding now level minimums to gear so you can't whack over powered stuff too early

While I like the idea, how could this possibly actually happen in this world? How would these items actually be there? Divine intervention? Shopkeeps just having a random chest of goods that characters can take from? I feel like this- while being awesome and otherwise a great idea- doesn't have a place in the game... While you and I see this game and have many parties, thus feeling like this is a multi-dimensional world, to the characters themselves, this wouldn't make sense... Also this would completely throw off the cash ratio of the game. If we don't have to spend our hard earned cash on expensive equipment, then we can have all the potions we want, thus throwing off the balance of the games economy.

Unless you're playing harder difficulties, you end up with more potions than you can shake a cat at anyway. In terms of cash, on Normal difficulty you can end up with well over 17k cash by end of Episode 1. You don't spend money in the stores for gear because let's face it, the first chest you open will have better stuff than any store will sell Thirdly (as you can see, I am not really good at counting), you can't store unlimited potions because the cache will have only a certain number of items and it's a pain to have to bounce between games just to get, say, 10 more potions to your new party. Sixthly, I agree that it will be a little weird from a story perspective, but your party could be convinced that it is just one more magical chest that you get to open while in an inn. After all, it's amazing what you find lying around in ratkin filled tunnels Actually maybe your idea works even better than mine ... MAYBE you can sell items to a shop keeper (inn keeper), and ask them to sell it to some other people who might need it. THEN when your next party goes to the inn, the inn keeper will say "Have I got a deal for you!". You will have to pay for the gear that the inn keeper is holding - and even pay a premium (maybe 20% above market rate), but it'll still be worth it. that works doesn't it?

Why would you shake a cat? In your case that's as mean as me eating lamb chops :-)

You can shake a cat - you just want to keep the claws side facing away from you ... and you have to be ready to run. Fast.

slayernz - are the potions the primary reason you'd be asking for this? You could play through on Easy and leave hundreds of potions at every inn along the way? Or is it really about gear? Considering that we are working toward adding Leaderboard support, I don't think this is one we will want to add as it is going to pop some holes int he fairness principle.

It's definitely about the gear rather than the potions. I could care less about potions because you can buy them pretty easily along your journies. It's the cool gear that you pick up on the way that you'd think "Hey, I've got 5 copies of that exact same item, I'd love for another party to be able to benefit from it" If you've got a leaderboard in mind, then having a shared cache wouldn't work so happy to let it be dropped

Consider it dropped. Putting an anchor on this thread because we're not going to be implementing it.
