It's pretty hilarious that this update comes out about 6 hours after I decide go back and play a little HoS. Finishing off the group below I killed no less than 10 Forged/Summoned spiders in a single combat. I would have a lot more potions right now if I just waited a little longer.  |

New release add support for Google Play Gamesv2.1.55 - 6/23/2014 - Game play Achievements added - Achieve 14 goals within the game - combat, story, level! - Death count display on games list I don't wish to blast out my achievements, I don't wish log in to Google Play, please help the notifications stop every time I would have achieved something. Am I missing something? Is there something I gain by blasting out my achievements? |

Swami - you don't have to log in to Google Play games if you are not interested in sharing your achievements. Many people like to share their progress with others and have an online record their Achievements. It has been a highly requested feature on all platforms where we put the game.

I get a toast every time anyway, though. Google's normal code pushes a sign in prompt on each achievement when you're not signed in. I hacked the code to only display a toast, which is very valuable for people who might have forgotten to sign in. Maybe I can figure out a way to move it into the upper right hand corner or something. I'm not sure, we want to make sure that the target audience on Google Play (users of Google Play Games) have a reminder. I will ask Google Play Services team what they recommend. I think they're going to recommend the default approach of prompting for an immediate sign-in. On a side note, you ... A) Do not need to blast your achievements, just mark them as private. Then only you will see them and no one will know you're playing our games. B) If we cannot convince people to use Google+ for Achievements, Heroes of Steel will never be featured by Google. Every Google Achievement sign in puts us one step closer to Kincaid and Episode #3. C) So yes, everyone has a lot to gain from getting Google Play Services working, us and everyone who likes Heroes of Steel RPG. D) Consider it a pre-amble for the upcoming Leaderboards release. I will see what can be done to improve the prompting but be aware, I've already spent nearly 20 hours polishing the interface and removing automatic sign-in prompts which I ASSURE you would annoy you much more than a tiny little pop-up that lasts for less than a second and doesn't block touches or require Internet connection. |

Signed in, and already achieved one of them- too bad I don't have Vincent this run through- that 10 kill award looks awesome to me! Great job guys! Will each separate game unlock separate achievements or are they all combined?

They are all combined, but we are allowed to have up to like 150 of them I think, so we'll be adding tons of new ones.
Open to suggestions as well =)

One suggestion would be score X number of XP in a single turn. To really give it an edge, make it by a certain point in the game. Say, "Get 100 XP in a single turn in episode 1."

I would love to have achievement for exploring non-essential areas. Like "uncover 98% of this map"
