Even now... even now, lost and lonely in space, our enmities could not be quenched.
Even now, we could not be an united people, even when our lives are on the line.
Or maybe that's why? When we see nothing but darkness, ready for death... perhaps then we'll fight for what we believe in? Live for what we believed in? And die for what we believe in?
Perhaps...
This is the year 1AE - after we have become separated from the exodus fleet, stranded and desperate - where things have finally gotten worse. So bad that we are now so desperate to settle on desolate worlds around us.
Perhaps desperation will borne developments. Or perhaps it will simply borne despair.
It is time to find out.
Our destination - Thulun Prime. OUR Thulun Prime.

Year 4.44AE.
A deathly date, according to some of our... long lost brethens. And so it is.
Our fellow great houses - Clan Javat and Steel Song, has long since abandoned us for the reaches of space, our enmities unable to be overcame.
We, on the other hand, had settled and expanded into a vast empire, encompassing a large section of this quadrant.
They, lived on the fringes of our colony. And unfortunately, on the fringes of the Xenos.
Despite our most desperate attempts at saving Javat Prime, the house's one and only system, our plans did not come to fruitation. We were unready and our forces were quickly overwhelmed.
That, was a year ago. The aliens attacked us over twenty years ago, and only now did we manage to pull our resources, to fight back against the terrible abominations, chasing us from whence we came.
This year, marks our major victory against them - but it is surely far from over.
Their fleet may have been decimated, but we have lost one world - they have lost none.
Our fleet may be stronger now, but the technology to cleanse the worlds of the Xenos is still lost in the history books, awaiting discovery.
We could only hope that progress would be made soon, before we lose any more worlds.
Now our houses or two. We must do everything in our power to keep it there.
The Xenos is still on the horizon, orbiting what once was our fellow's home.
We will wipe it out, and replenish our supplies. Many of our finest men and women have been lost, sacrificing their life for the greater good.
For now, we will keep our ships at Ursae Outpost and Jahant 6, our frontier worlds; and Steel Prima, of the Steel Song Clan.
May they learn a lesson from this - to never abandon one's brethen, ever.

Year 4.45AE...
We celebrated too soon. The onslaught by the Xenos continues. Our ships' reactors can barely generate power, their hulls heavily damaged, their fuel tanks down to the last of drops...
Yet we will at it. We will clear those foul, wretched Xenos ships, until a semblance of safety can be established.
Year 4.46AE...
Amidst the war, impeccable news at last! Our scientists have finally discovered the secret formula... for a full-fledged retaliation attempt.
The Xenos will soon taste their own bitter medicine. A medicine to cure the fungal-like disease that is the Xenos themselves...

Thanks! Proboards finally sent the validation email, so here we are. ---------------------- Year 5.15AE... It has now been over half a decade since our fragmentation from the main exodus. Our developments have been going strong, despite the onslaught by the Xenos. We have carved out what could be perhaps called a true empire, for our own. The past few months have seen the Xenos giving us some room, but their army still surely looms just over the horizon. Soon, we will be over said horizon as well. For we are now ready to take the fight to them. Our people are ready, their minds and body trained for this very day. The Strike Fighters are fully prepped and ready for action. Each and every ship repaired and fully functioning. Not all of the fleet has completed been repaired though. The only Galaxea-class carrier that we ever had, the sole survivor is still on the mend. It will always serve as a reminder of all the lives lost, the entire line of Gazelle-class fighters that was wiped out in the first wave of invasion. Not to mention out venerable Explorer, that told us of so many secrets of this quadrant. The crew of the Explorer will always be remembered for drawing the Xenos away during the most critical moments of the war, giving us just enough breathing room to reconcile out forces. Joining our fleet though, are two new classes of ships. The first is the Poison-class transports, our first 'world-destroyers'. The Xenos poisoned our world, and now they are about to learn that they are not the only ones capable of POISONING worlds. This will mark a great turn of events! It is not only the world-destroyer that we copied them though. They'll be surprised when they see our own version of their long-range fighters, those that killed so many of our brethens! Armed with highly accurate, powerful torpedoes, the Archerfish-class cruisers will show them what true power is like! We are ready to stand as one, to push back the terror, to avenge our brothers and sisters! We are proud! We are the followers of Shalun! We are survivors! AND WE WILL SURVIVE!

fallen: Thanks! Let's see how these survivors do. :3 beuns: Thanks mate. Loving the game so far too. virtualrock: Yeah, I saw your post (I think). I find that what truly saved me was the fact that I had a Strike Fighter stationed around each system. So when the time came, I could pool all of them together. I only managed that through a strong empire colony, as I did send out colony ships all over. Being all Thulun systems, they're lucky enough to generate quite a lot of CP (relatively) from the getgo, so developments are faster. I build mines faster, hence more money, and worlds with high pop growth I focus on factories. They become money-generating worlds and ship-building worlds, respectively. I constantly build mines whenever possible, so that the extra upkeep from new ships and developments is offsetted by the income from the mines. ---------------------- Year 5.15AE... CHARRRRGE! Our fleet heads into Xenos territory. To our horror, we have met with the sight of an alien colony... which once was known as Javat Prime... Our brothers and sisters, we swear, we WILL avenge you. Year 5.17AE... Out forces have surrounded Javat Prime. We have launched the first salvos against the Xenos fleet. We now await their move... Year 5.18AE... They have retreated! Further into their territory. Seems like THEIR forces have yet to recover from the last skirmish. We must take this chance now. Poison-class transports, full steam ahead! Take back Javat Prime! Our brothers and sisters may be all gone, but that does not mean we can fail them! Year 5.19AE... Retreat... Our worse fear. The single, one word not a single one of us wants to have in their dictionary. Death would have been fine. We are prepared, we are ready. If we are all to die, we would accept it. But at least we would have given the Xenos a fight they can't forget. But retreat... Our invasion pods failed to deploy, simple as that. We have fitted our transports with Angelic Dropships, powerful invasion tools according to our ancient books. But having them didn't mean we could operate them, despite our desperate hopes. They... could not deploy properly. Seems like we need the proper training, the proper mechanics known. But... it would seem that we have yet to discovered the mechanisms in our history books. And so, retreat, it is... Clan Javat. We have not forgotten. We WILL come back. We promise... ---------------------- Yes, that's right. I didn't research invasion training. >.<

Year 5.30AE...
It has been a few eeks since our scouts have immersed deep into the jaws of death, scanning the space ahead. We have discovered that the Xenos maintains five worlds, and their forces... negligible.
We have finally discovered the secrets to invading their worlds. This time, we are prepared. The production of the new Toxin-class transports have begun...

Upon the forces of the Xenos, our forces descended. The full might of House Shulun, bearing down on the enemy. Strike Fighters, Poison-class and Toxin-class Transports, Archerfish-class Cruisers, one of our two Templar Defenders and the war-torn survivor and also its only one of its kind, the Galaxea-class carrier. We managed to elicit the Xenos into a full retreat, their forces withdrawing before any serious damage could have been dealt to, and by, either side. Whilst the mass of our force formed a defensive shield ahead, our Toxin-class Transports rained terror upon the world that was once known as Javat Prime. The Angelic Pods scorched the lands as they landed, rendering screams of terror and tears of agony from the Xenos. Oh let them scream. Let them scream like the little parasites that they are! And let them... be vanquished from this system, forevermore. And so we moved, from one system to the next. The Xenos fleet was truly no match for ours. One after another, our Strike Fighters gunned them down, as our Archerfish-class Cruisers and other heavy ships send torpedoes through hyperspace at them. We pray someone will show them mercy in the afterlife, for we shall show them none in this. Year 6.22AE... They were down to two systems, each surrounded by our ships. Victory is upon us! Year 6.24AE... The Xenos is down to their last system in this quadrant... Year 6.30AE... We emerged VICTORIOUS! Our Toxin-class Transports have eradicated the last remaining Xenos establishment in this quadrant! Our victory has not been without set back, nor losses, but in the end... we have not only survived, but triumphed. We will always remember our brothers and sisters of Clan Javat. We will always remember the entire fleet of Gazelle-class Fighters that were completely lost. We will always remember each and every Strike Fighter that sacrificed themself to protect our empire. We will always remember this day, 6.30AE. ---------------------- Five years and three months (?) in, first time, on tutorial. Not too bad I guess. I probably won't be writing another refugee tale for a while, until my gameplay style changes drastically. XD Or else it'd be just a simple revamp of this story. Also I just want to enjoy playing the game for a bit. XD Rather than pausing every time I feel like I should try and update this. Hope you guys liked my short tale! See y'alls next time!
