Yeah I usually suicide if I get tired of the heat. Dump some points into stealth so you can make a getaway too.

It's beta, and I know this on their list considering how much we've discussed it, so hang in there!

It's going to take some time before Cory & his team will hit the Heat sweet spot. I guess in the end your difficulty level will have a serious affect upon, Heat build up and dispersal.

Very strange. No change in software and yet last night heat wasn't going nuts all the time I played. I did a bunch of Fennian quests out of the package delivery store and upped my Dex and Stealth by one. Safehouses and hotels were lowering heat as expected and I actually racked up a good reputation with Fennian.

rhardy - glad it sounds like its starting to work better... even if there was no update! One thing i have noticed is that if I watch my heat and keep actively after it, I can sometimes manage it. If I just stop paying attention, it gets rapidly out of control.

I have a silly suggestion...

It seems as if many of the people that are playing this Beta test version of the game are experienced gamers. Would it be a terrible idea to show the formulas for all the factors that go into figuring out the things like heat, costs, payments, and such? That way everyone is fully aware of what is doing what where while the system is being tested out. Then, just hide those formulas after the Beta testing is done so the average gamer that is enjoying the game doesn't have to worry about all that crap.

I know for myself, I'm a whiz when it comes to balancing out game systems and formulas.

skwerly I believe that something like this will be happening. Cory has stated that he wants things to be a little more transparent. And a little less clouded/random.
