I do apologize if this has been presented as a request before. There are obviously some unhostile aliens... But I would love to see further Diplomacy maneuvers and the big 3 S's: Spying, Stealing, and Sabotage.
I would also love to see space mines. I don't mineral mining, which we already have...but attack/defense mines that can be launched to orbit a colonized planet. They don't have to have any AI of their own. They are simply 'space claymores'.
Are any of these suggestions being worked on already or plausible in the scope of the game and its mythos?

Multi-payer support... why not multi-game support too ? I can see the ads already : Star Traders MMO : Play X4 and hire RPG players, or play RPG and get your missions from 4X players. Economy and politics simulation has never been so... NOT simulated.Sounds like a dream, doesn't it ?

Yes a grand dream that would require all sorts of additional code, and we can add in the costs of maintaining a multithread server with an estimated bandwidth level to ensure that there is constant connecvtivity between each game and the servers.... Neat idea, but I am not sure of its pheasability both financially and mentally for a small development team such as the Trese Brothers. Another way to handle this concept is to make a new type of MMO, where some players are Star Traders, Military Captians for thr factions ectect and others are or can be provincial or colonial lords (the prince or princess from thr palaces) or some type of govoner. It would basically be several games rolled into one. There are some games which use this type of concept, where the entire game is essentially controlled by the players and while those games are nice to play, they are not very good at drawing in and maintaining new players.

Going back to just an MP ST4X, it could be as simple as using save states for each item synched with a server. This does require more code...but not much more. I've seen it done and well implemented on other succesful mobile games. It is just a thought...and much more wanted than a multigame multiplayer mix of both ST RPG and ST4X.
