First, if you haven't played this level yet, DON'T READ THIS. It will spoil a lot of fun for you. Just move along, or better yet, go move your team along and get there.
Second, Trese Brothers well done. That was a crazy fun level, even if it caused me a ton of deaths. It really captured the feeling of a siege and the reappearance of Big Ugly (I think you'll know who I mean) was pretty cool.
There a few things that I think could be better. After the dialogue in Gholla Outlook (GO) I was ready for a big fight I slapped an invocation on Selen and bought a few Tomes of Sustainment to get everyone ready. On the first day however you fight two rounds and then combat actually stops. It really sucked for me because I had just used another Tome of Sustainment expecting that there would be another round of the second one. Since I'm playing on NM and the buff strippage at the end of combat is pretty severe I lost a lot of my buffs including the invocation and had to start over buffing my team. That was a little bit of a frustration since the combat is just going to start up again. The fact that you have to walk around to find the trigger for the third round is also a bit of an annoyance. I had a nice little set up for fighting and hadn't died yet in the combat until I had to go wander around to find the trigger and restart combat in an area that wasn't so defensible. I think I died twice before I realized I just had to go make a mad dash for a more defensible position.
I think it would be much better if combat would just continue after you kill whatever boss character there is in the second group. By this point in the game, players have come to expect that these types of fights are going to chain together and you build a strategy around that. Stopping combat and then making us look for a trigger really made me doubt what to do on the next day.
On the second day of the siege I made a mistake in the first group of killing the Shamaness before I killed anyone else. She came up first and I really hate their Dominance curse so I took her down in a hurry. Of course that spawned the second group of monsters and at one point I had like 8 javelineers shooting at me (another death or two). At this point I was really careful not to kill the Berserk, lest I spawn the third group with Big Ugly in it. So I was shuffling everyone around taking a beating by the berserker in my back row when I killed a war hog and spawned the third group. That was a nasty trick. Now I had Big Ugly and a berserk still reeking havoc. I guess I would have preferred it if killing the berserk is what triggered the third wave.
At that point we did more running and screaming until we found a new position. One question, is Big Ugly supposed to be accompanied by three Shamanesses? If so, what a stud, maybe I should call him the harem master. I did well against that third wave, but still got Vraes killed once when all three of the orc witches just pounded on him with their attack spells.
