From what I understand there is at least 2 ways to go directly into your characters stats, one way is awesome and makes sense, the other one is irritating, troublesome, and darn right infuriating at points.
Click on your face on the left side to check your stats...Or you can click on your character to access it. The first one I like, it makes sense. But the second one causes me so much grief, because when I'm trying to click on an exact location, 50% of the time I will click on my character, the stats screen will come up, I will have to back out. Instead of me actually changing maps, going into a building...
Is there anyway to have an option to turn this off, or just remove it altogether? It just seems unnecessary and it really bogs down the game (for me at least.)

Moof - we are happy to try to help and reduce the UI issue here. I just want to clarify before we do anything about it:
#1 - GOOD - click on the character's face #2 - BAD - click on the character on the map, which is small, and trying to move around or go in a building, and if you miss, you end up where you don't want to be.
That sounds pretty reasonable to me. Please confirm this is the intention and maybe we will do a quick forum poll to make sure others aren't going to mind. I'd rather turn it off altogether than drop in another option, but heck--its just an option!
EDIT: Just to clarify-- we will do something about this (Option, or remove click altogether). We will stop your suffering!

I'm with moof on this one. It hasn't been a big deal for me but I could see it being an issue for anyone who has bigger fingers or reduced motor control.

it is sometimes hard to get into buildings on my droid x. it would be cool to be able to long-press in the vicinity of a doorway to give the player an option to enter the building (and maybe auto-navigate to it if you are a few steps away)

Fair enough, we do not need redundant access systems. If people declare they want it, I will add it as an optional feature to turn on under Options. If no one asks, it will be gone for good.

Never noticed that before. Navigation is kinda wonky sometimes as it is. Best to remove or add as optional.

I agree with this actually. I say just simply remove it. It's not a bad idea, but I think its a feature we should revisit later on. That's ny two denari.

I say remove it as well. I've good pretty good motor control and thin fingers, yet from time to time, I'll end up opening the stats screen when I just want to interact with the buildings door.

Agreed, drives me nuts when instead of going into a building I end up on the stats screen. Please remove it

I have big hands and big fingers, so I hit the stat screen about half the time. Of course, to remedy this I just zoom all the way in now when at my destination and click on the door. I haven't had any menu issues at all doing this.
So, simple work around.

It is removed ... sorry that's a hold over from my ST RPG UI design. It will not hurt you anymore.
I will work on the "click near a door to enter the building" trick but that's not going to be a simple fix, it will require some intelligence and design work.

Yeah that's the one that gets me. It always comes up "blocked" and I have bang the phone a few times to get it. My wife now thinks I have spasms.
