Please provide a brief description of the World of Steele went from 13 gods to 9.

There is the All-Father and the 13 Gods (his "Children"). Four of the Gods (often referred to the as the Dark Four, Wiegarn, Evesse, Rabiel, Ravenna) betrayed the All-Father and destroyed him in an event known as the Shattering. The other Nine Gods (often referred to as the Nine or the Faithful) did not turn on humanity or the All-Father. Are all presumed to have tried to rush to His aid, but details of the event among the Gods are in short supply. Following the Shattering, the Dark Four were present in the land, leading armies, destroying kingdoms. The Nine did not come forward to meet them on the field of battle. In their absence, faith and religion among humanity has suffered a great blow.
After the Shattering, all Temples and worship is directed at the Nine. The Dark Four have been cut out of the pantheon of acceptable worship.

Curious how humans will deny divinity to what is present among them but worship what is absent. This is because what fallen explained is "truth as being taught to children". The reality, however … however, the reality is a teeny little bit different. And you will meet with that reality before you reach Riven Field. |
