My preferred and moderately efficient route is to go straight to Granthorn, clearing all of the levels in between and doing Bone Pass. I also clear out the two krete levels from the Trading Post and BH Dockyards. In Granthorn I buy armor (make sure to do Bone Pass first though, as you often find some pretty good gear in there), and then I take the boats back to RH Trading Post and go up and do all of the Braeys quests. Once I've done the Hunting Lodge, I accept to go to the COD with Braeys and then go into Ember Lake and get E3 weapons. Then I back out of there, go do Gholla Outlook and then back to Brunehorn for the Under Forge and Druid Quests. That leaves me in the right place to do the Fang Subquest in E3. It also means I'm maxing enemy levels in the Underforge and Druid quests. I find I can never be too careful in UF. If there's somewhere I'm going to die in E2 it's in there.

I don't think you can go back once you've killed the Chieftains.

Team down. And right after i fininshed my guide. I think they had what it takes but combo of bad play, bad luck, and a few drinks took them down at 263m. Was fighting the Vast Cavern and Kyera got slightly overextended. An orc ran out of the fog and 3 shot her for like 700 damage. Worst part was after she died I realized she was wearing a 2 parry shield I found like an hour into the game. I had just sold a 5 parry one to store after finding a really nice 7 parry, 1 acc, 6 damage one for vraes... (tilt) after a few deaths during the escape (I was a little salty) I have a new team in Osk. It is a real spicy team and if I they get past the shaman ill do another write up.

Sorry man. Though I can't say I'm not a little relieved that my 3rd place spot on the Gplay boards is safe again. I was watching you come up with a nervous eye. Your next one will probably beat me, but I have my own NMI team in the Orcin caves as well. So hopefully I'll moving up the boards soon too. I've found that death on NMI usually comes quickly and it is usually due to something preventable by me. In fact the more over-powered a team is, the more dangerous they can be, because I start getting sloppy thinking they're invincible or something. I'll be looking forward to that next write-up.

Died at the shaman...(-8 dodge shouldn't be ignored) Got some great xp with the squad though. Tryed fyona and i think im going back to kyera. Shield of Cortias not being as good as warders shield was the tiebreaker for me. Why is dodge so much better than parry? Also I dont like vincent having to be the ap curser. Always torn between damage and cursing. Always wished those to points were just more LS.

Why is dodge so much better than parry? So you have to make hard, meaningful choices Are you sure it really is?

Well every point in dodge is also worth 60% of a point in parry. IMO ranged attacks are more dangerous but the dodge also being a weaker parry thing is the big one.

Parry vs dodge is a tough one...I find parry to be more reliable though. You can reliably parry melee attacks but I have yet to find a tank that can reliably dodge all ranged attacks...at least until ep 3. Knowing that melee mobs will do no damage and ranged mobs will makes battles more predictable and predictability is key to a NMI game. That being said frigid air is working wonders for me, both types of attacks rarely hit and if they do they do peanuts in damage.

I agree, I find its much easier to get ahead of the leveling curve with parry. The dice are always strong and it really shows over the long haul.
