I'm new to the forums . I've played ST for several weeks now. recently I created a capitan type star trader so I'm paying more attention to rumors.. anywho... I keep getting one about a stranded mechanic who maybe looking for work. however when I go to the planet waypoint, I can't find her anywhere.
thoughts? ideas?

Hey Shellee - welcome to the forums  You typically find mechanics, political officers and first mates in the Palace. Note though, if you already have 3 officers signed up, then although you might see the rumor message under the planet description (when you are in the urban area), the officer button will be greyed out. This means that you might have to let an officer go (status --> Officers --> Dismiss) in order to pick a mechanic up. I would highly recommend one, especially if you have Elite. |

There are currently 2 Places you can recruit an Officer.
In the Wilderness Zone and in the Urban Zone's Palace Menu.
