So, I've noticed that, in addition to buying paydata from specific factions, most connectors also appear to be working for a specific faction. For example, <spoiler alert> I can sell knight horizon data to digital noise which results in me getting lots of money and a much better standing with aztek. My question is; which connectors work for knight horizon and what do they buy? any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Check the thread Paydata, we've been creating good compilation there.

OK I'm confused, I go to Camden (the bungalow) talk to the Guy there and he tells me I can't talk to the boss because I need to prove my metal..talk to the connecter here at the bungalow or talk to the connector at the stone cold fox. So I went to the fox... got a job...finished the job and guess what...my Rep for the streets went from 0 to -3. Now I do a job for the bungalows connector...finish that and now my Rep is -1 cool this looks like the right thing to do.. I do another job for the bungalow connector of course, finish that and my Rep is now -2 uhhh why...

Your rep is also affected by killing mobs. At the moment you only encounter mobs of the same faction as the area you are in. So, if you're in Streets territory you will only encounter Streets mobs even if you went there for a quest to kill someone for a quest against another faction. For example, let's say you get a quest like this; "Streets needs a Cyber Knight to work against Yakuza to assassinate a target at a location inside of Streets territory." So you accept the quest and go to the target location. Once at the target location you click the entrance to the building and select the "You messed up Chummer" option which kicks you back out to the main area and starts combat. Now, even though you are working against Yakuza, because you are in Streets territory everyone of the people you have to kill will be Streets faction. Not sure if it's supposed to be this way or if it's something that will be changed as development of the game progresses. So, let's say you complete the mission by killing 5 Streets guys. Upon mission completion your Rep will work something like this (just making up the numbers I don't know the actual values), +2 Rep (for mission complete) -5 Rep (for killing 5 Streets) = net -3 Rep. So the keys to getting positive Rep with a given faction are..
1) Do missions for the faction you want to increase Rep in (if Streets, do quests that start "Streets needs a Cyber Knight..") 2) Do NOT do assassination quests that end in the territory of the faction you want to increase Rep in (if Streets, do NOT do quests that end "..assassinate a target at a location inside of Streets territory.") 3) Try as hard as possible to not kill any mobs in the territory of the faction you want to increase Rep in (if Streets, either Evade encounters or try to Escape from any fight in any Streets territory) 4) (Optional) If you can get a PDA that lets you do more than one job at a time you can load up with 2 or 3 similar jobs from the same connector and do all of them at the same time. This is a huge help in building positive Rep with any faction. 5) (Optional) There are connectors from factions in areas that belong to different factions (for example there is a Streets connector in Blue Ox territory). So, if you can get a quest from a connector in Streets territory to go to Blue Ox territory, then once you're done with that quest you can get a quest from the Streets connector in Blue Ox territory to go back to Streets territory you get the XP and Rep for both trips. Learning where all your factions connectors are will also help alot.
I have a PDA that lets me do 3 jobs at once (Fairlight). So when I want to get some XP and Rep with Streets I go to The Bungalow (Streets connector) and get 3 quests in Blue Ox territory (these are almost always message or package delivery). Then, I take a Taxi to one of the quest's end point and walk to the other 2. Once I'm done with all 3 I go to the Brothel (Streets connector) in Blue Ox territory and get 3 quests to go back to Streets territory (these are also almost always message or package delivery). I take a taxi back (helps if you have 2 or more taxis), finish those 3 quests and boom, 6 quests worth of positive Rep with Streets, 6 XP, and between ¥1800 and ¥2400 (¥300 to ¥400 per quest. The farther away the quest destination is from the origin the higher the pay. Streets is at the bottom and Blue Ox is at the top). Whole process takes between 5 and 10 minutes.
Edit: Also, some factions oppose other factions so if you do a job for one it can affect your rep with the other (same for selling Paydata). For example Aztek Global and Mars Inc are competitors so anything you do that has a positive affect on your Rep with Aztek will also have a negative affect on your Rep with Mars and vice versa.

I think that also the security level of the target area affectts the payment.

I think that also the security level of the target area affectts the payment. 100% correct about this.
