With the advanced technology in ck it would be feasible to have a long range shock weapon, the projectile being wireless by having a ridiculous battery rigging up to it. Two words: ball lightning. The weapon could use some from of nano-mechanical energy generator to create ball lightning, which would then be launched at the enemy. The energy would disperse violently upon contact, doing MP, or possibly even AP (stun) damage, but not enough to kill the target outright.

It's not magic dude. It's technology. Think of a stun gun that fires balls of electricity or like a laser gun firing lasers.

I was thinking more like firing a small capsule which has a rechargeable battery. The capsule sticks to the target and discharges the electricity. The bullets being used to propel the projectile all the distance.

I was thinking a range of 5 or so.

I always though since the range was so low it just arced lightning to a target, kinda like a Tesla coil. It would explain why they use ammo though... That part always confused me lol.

Casa no offense man but that sound way too much like a hazard...It would probaly be equivalent to a MP blaster gun sniper rifle? It would work it just wouldn't be an actual grenade launcher....What about a tranqulizer dart gun? 35% chance of hit it's like a sniper rifle but only causes MP damage and lots of it. That I could see being done...grenade launcher wouldn't fit this game engine (No explosion...) Excuse me, but the "FN-PAR 85mm anti-material weapon" sure sounds like a bazooka. It does 10 damage at 8 range with a heavy round (from the description, an 85mm round).... So why doesn't every other weapon that fires a heavy round have the same damage and range? A sonic grenade wouldn't be explosive, just electronically generate a spectrum of sound that would affect all adversaries. The launcher could use a heavy round as propellant and would have a specific range like other weapons (so the game wouldn't need extra calculations for how far the grenade could be thrown depending on strength and agility and athletics and ?). 'Evade' or 'cover' may reduce MP damage, but not eliminate all damage. None of the game weapons do damage to adjacent 'blocks' (hit two adversaries standing next to each other, like a shotgun in the real world could), so why would a sonic grenade launcher be a hazard? Sorry, but I don't see a tranquilizer dart doing anything to a drone, maybe scratch it? I carry dual A9s for nonlethal.... But would like something for ranged nonlethal - don't particular care to walk to well within a drone's range (and give it first shot) to put it down.... Looking forward to Drone Master....

Anti-material weapons: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-materiel_rifleEvery weapon that fires a similar found does not have the same properties. Many aspects of weapon design determine damage and range. This is true to an even greater extend in the world of Cyber Knights where ammunition is fired with nano-propellent activated by the weapon, often in multiple stages or in lesser or greater degrees, based on the weapon's design and properties. By definition, tranquilizer and taser weapons are very weak against nano-robotic drones. Hitting a drone with a "ball of lighting" is more likely to recharge it's batteries than it is to do any damage. Remember, these drones are designed and built to be resistant to jamming, EMP and a hundred other esoteric ECM and ECCM attacks.

Just had a really ridiculous idea. What if there was a gun that used magnetic forces to both propel the metal projectiles and heat them to molten temperatures. Really low range weapon with no penetration but good damage and speed. Uses heavy ammo to generate the electricity to run it.

crackshotcerberus you mean like a slag cannon of some sort? Sort of like a flamethrower, but it fires a single molten projectile instead of a stream of napalm? Seems legit, and the heavy ammo could be the actual ammo as well. Since self-recharging nano-batteries are a thing in the CK universe, those could be used to power the device, but the firing rate would have to be low to allow for recharging in between shots.

Self recharging nano batteries? Where were they mentioned?

If I'm not mistaken, they're described as powering either the Shock Gloves or the Shock Mauls (possibly both). It's kind of an in-universe explanation for why you never have to change the batteries on your melee weapons. Though now that I think about it, I may have just added the "self-recharging" myself, and it's just that the nano-batteries hold their charge for a ridiculously long time. It's been a long day, I may be getting my sci-fi tech mixed up again lol.
