Structures giving Hypersonic Attack?

The only ship currently able to use structures is the Heavy Carrier, and since the two weapons on Heavy Carriers are Plasma Cannon, and Boarding Shuttle and none of them are Torpedoes, I am wondering where this Hypersonic Attack Bonus is applied, if at all?

The two Structures giving Hypersonic Attack are:

Hyperion Shielding gives

+10 Aplha Dmg, +1 Hypersonic Attack

Heavy Architecture

+1 Hypersonic Attack, +2 Stealth

Thanks for pointing this out- I will avoid those structures, though perhaps it adds a hypersonic element to the plasma cannon?
