I was searching for a new main game and noticed Galciv III was in beta, haven't played the previous ones but obviously heard a lot of good things about it. So I buy it, and while I'm waiting for the download it suddenly occurs to me: Oh right didn't trese had a 4x come out recently? And I decide to give it a try while waiting for the download. Having played all tb titles and even posting some nonsense on these forums a good while back with an old nick, it was an easy -buy without a try- for me. (Cause having a 4x on mobile is never a bad thing, and trying out a new trese piece is always exciting, whether you end up playing it full time or not) And here I am, 5 or so days later, Galciv remains untouched on my steam, and I find myself just fingering my phone all day long.. So yeah, thanks a bunch Trese Brothers!! >

Well St2 is too good to pass, I'll definitely join the kickstart if it's still open.
On the more serious note, I think you guys nailed the feeling of a group in exodus thing rather than "here's your home planet let me show how things are done, now go out and conquer."
The fact that you're not guided hand in hand through everything just makes the feel all that better. These are people who don't have a clue what they're doing, where they ended up in, or who they are up against. All they know is, our fuel is out, our ships are busted, this is where we'll make our new home.
But I know that everything that is out there will be hostile and want to eat you. And that creates another layer of tension to the game, I want to scout carefully and scan all unknown territory because we don't know where the xenos are!

warhog - I'm glad you got that vibe, its such a big part of the 4X story. The ST 2 KickStarter won't open until August 29, so there is still time to join up
