Was the Elite edition supposed to come with the other new classes unlocked? Mine, aren't and this is the first of your games where I feel like I am being nickled and dimed. If they were supposed to be unlocked with the upgrade please ignore and...help And if they aren't supposed to be, is there a possibility of upgrade pack that unlocks all of classes and any future classes for a discounted price? Thank you. Sorry this was so negative.

We added content for several years, but had to make a choice recently -- either stop working on CK altogether, or find some way for players to pay some small fraction of the development cost.
We elected to keep working on it and charge a small amount for the effort. The Hunder class took several months of work, for which you can pay $1
Since we don't put ads in any of our games, we have to try to fund our efforts somehow. If we cannot pay for rent and food, then all game development will cease, updates will stop and the games will no longer be supported.

I'm sorry I know most of my posts are in the CK forum so I can see how you immediately thought this post was about that game, but this was a question about Heroes of Steel. Is there a way to unlock all of the new characters in Heroes of Steel, or should they have all been unlocked when I bought the elite version? I guess I should point out that I am also referring to the android version and that I bought it on the Amazon app store. I own most of your games, the only elite versions I haven't bought are Templar Assault and Age of Pirates and Star Traders 4x (I haven't finished with Star Traders Elite yet . I understand the dilemma with CK and I will continue to support in what way I can. I didn't realize until I read some other posts that it was already 3 years old. Thank you again.

Heroes of Steel RPG Elite includes the complete story, access to all 4 Episodes (only Episodes 1 and 2 are released at this time.)
Each additional character is an add-on purchase. We did this so we could avoid selling the entire game for $12 on Android, and give mobile players an option to pay as they go and buy only the characters they want.

That makes sense. Is there a chance of a discount to buy all four at once in the future? Thank you.

We have no plans to offer a discount pack at this time.
Thanks for your support and for correcting our mistake about the CK / HoS!

Slightly off subject but i wanted to say that in HOS i bought vince iap character knowing full well that I wouldnt actually use/play him (nothing wrong with the toon, just not my play style) and again bought the hunder in CK knowing that i most likely wouldnt play him. Reason is that these 2 games gave me dozens of hours of very cheap entertainment so why not support I know i am not the only one doing this, many steam users for example own dozens of games they never even play.

I have now ended up doing the same thing. My wife would kill me if she found out I spent that much on android games, (don't tell) but you guys deserve every penny.
Yeah I know this is a complete reverse of what I said in the first post, but now that I've owned most of your games for more than a month I have seen the light. ;-) Your support and expansion of your games is phenomenal. I hadn't played CK (my current favorite) since the ST2 kickstarter ended. And now that I've picked it up again it's almost like a new game. Just wow and Thank you. You have my support and loyalty.

thatoneguyfromthatplace that's really cool and I definitely know it's appreciated. The strategy that the TB's have employed is that for Elite, the IAPs don't affect your ability to complete the game. You can go from start to finish, enjoying every bit of story, and with all of the great balance and style of play that the characters you have offer. Adding new characters via IAP doesn't change the story dramatically - but just gives different styles of play to the fore. Same with ST or CK ... you can play all of the games without needing to purchase any IAP to complete everything. It isn't like Candy Crush ... grrrr evil game ...

Yep, I've noticed. That's what got me hooked on CK. And what won me over. You don't need the additional content or elite editions to play, you want them for the increased dynamic and options.

"It isn't like Candy Crush ... grrrr evil game ... " Which is one of the many reasons I refuse to try that game. ;-)
