Yeah, so stoked to see that we reached small craft combat. Congratulations are in order for everyone involved. Everyone from the $2k backers to the $1 backers is to be applauded.
Now I need to figure out how to hide the $500 credit card bill...... haha.

since it is possible to _go back to Kickstarter_ and run another campaign to, for example add the stretch goals that didn't get funded this time I don't think the first thing that TB will do is produce a design that could _never_ _ever_ have these additions. After all, the pain of having a game engine that constrains them too much is precisely what got them here in the first place. Grävling You know Mama Grav, I never thought about that. fallen Do you see yourselves going back .. say 6 months from now and seeing if a few folk would dig up 10-15k to achieve some additional stretch goals? rabid So I wake up, walk on over, and Small Ship Combat? Really? Sure surprised me! Thank you everybody for checking underneath the sofa cushions. Which was sort of the point of that last post rabid is replying too. I think 6 months from now would be a bit early -- get ST2 released first -- but the fact that we didn't get all the stretch goals doesn't mean we don't want them, just that we individually and collectively hit E_NO_CASH_LEFT_IN_POCKETS. So if you wait a while, we'll earn more cash, and then, well ... the stretch goals we didn't make it to still look like good things to spend this future cash on. Which is why I don't think that the first think that Cory Trese and fallen are going to do is to restrict things in such a way that it would be impossible to add them later, in the same sort of way that adding them to ST1 was impossible and so a whole re-write was necessary. I watched some TV after end of kickstarter (DS9, love my Netflix ) and came back to check the forum, primarily the Community 4X game before calling it a night and getting some sleep. Decided to look here before shutting down for night to see and feel the excitement of it all one final time. Started reading and clicking the like button on posts, and reading and clicking...I'd be up all night trying to give karma to people because of the waiting period, but I'll remember and give karma to people tomorrow or next day that I missed tonight. Just got to say I'm very proud to be a member of this community. We all share a love of gaming and Cory Trese and fallen have given us so many special ones already yet continue dreaming of building us bigger and better ones. To steal a line from a movie "Build it and they will come!" Together we're all helping Trese Brothers build it...and they most assuredly will come to play. The kickstarter may be over, but now more than ever we need to get the word out about TBG for we can only thrive with a growing fellowship. Thank you one and all, may the dreams never fade, the love of gaming never grow dim, and the fellowship of friends grow ever larger and stronger. |
