The last message I could find on Cognac claimed he was no longer being a jerk (as of July 13).
After wandering around picking fights on the hopes that the "you been playing both sides or something?" message meant that I wasn't allowed to have positive rep with anybody but streets, I succeeded in getting down to negative rep with everybody but Los Val, Yakashumi, and K. Horizon, zero rep with those three, and 82 rep with Streets. Cognac still isn't giving me any contracts.
Do I need to sell him Los Val data before he'll do anything useful?
Once he has been "fixed," how should I expect him to behave?

According to Cory he's supposed to buy paydata. According to me he should buy pay data, drive me to the movies, make me a latte, destroy my enemies and hear the lamentations of the women. But then, I have these kinds of high expectations.
(I don't truely know, I just like posting things that get a grin)

Ya I had positive rep up 5 bars w/ the streets and cognac still says I'm playin both sides. Wonder if its because I failed my first job for him.

I got the Playing both sides thing from him, So I went back to the Bungalow and submitted a complaint to the Bosses.
We had a good long talk and I left, thinking they would sort things out. But he was a still a jerk.
I walked back to the Bungalow, but the bosses were out on a mission to talk to a Dragon or something and I was told that Cognac would be roughed up for dissing me.
He was nice to me after that.
(OOC - I went back to the bungalow, saw the bosses again, then kept visiting until the bosses were not around and told I already had the v-chip. Solved the cognac problem for me)
