I noticed that there are two versions. The Elite version, and the free version with an Elite IAP.
The Elite version is a lower version number than the IAP version.
Should I be choosing one version over the other?

bromios - each app goes through an Apple review cycle and then is published. At the moment, Elite is still in review while Free has gone live. Elite will follow shortly. The difference between the apps is only in the pricing model - Elite IAP or Elite game.

Thank you. Is there a noticeable difference between the two when they're out of version sync?

bromios - it is usually a slew of features and new content. You can check the What's New section on the one that is more up-to-date to see what you're missing. Any way it happens, you're never more than a few days out of sync. And, next time around, Elite might publish before Free - its all in the hands of the Apple review team.

Would it be possible to automate migrating users to the IAP version?

bromios - there is no migration between the two apps. We provide two apps because people have strong feelings about the purchasing model and dislike IAPs.

I have never seen this type of lag between the Elite and the RPG version of the game before.
Normally, they approved within an hour of each other. We will try to fix this for next release.

This has been resolved as of this morning.
Sorry for the delay!
