The reactor data has the number of ap and mpand the mass which I understand. But then it says x fuel/turn, where x is a number like 4. What exactly does that number mean or do?

I think it's the refueling rate.

It is indeed the rate at which a ship refuels

Great, thanks for the answer. Does that number add to any refuel skill the ship has to give you a total refuel number per turn assuming you are in a refuel zone?

Great, thanks for the answer. Does that number add to any refuel skill the ship has to give you a total refuel number per turn assuming you are in a refuel zone? Repair (skill) and Refuel (Reactor quality) are not combined. I'm working on several Ship Upgrades that increase both, together or individually.

So what does the refuel skill of a ship do then? It determines the number of W-F points that can be taken onto the ship from harvesters or refuel contracts per turn. That skill is determined by the Reactor.

Refuel is also very important in determining max W-F

Refuel is also very important in determining max W-F For some designs it plays a bigger role than Design Level.
