Okay I get the fact you can't have two pairs of boots, or two capes (you'd look awfully silly wearing two capes), but suuuurely you should be able to wear more than one ring. You've got two hands (and up to 10 fingers depending on how bad you are at combat). I'd be okay with two rings ... no additional gear slots (so you are still constrained to armor + 3 gear slots), but it would be good to be able to use two rings at the same time. Maaaaaaaaaaybe also - after a certain level, you get an additional gear slot so you can have Armor + 4 gear pieces. That would be really really cool

slayernz - sorry, no can do on this one. A lot of the game's balance rides on the 1-type-only gear rule.

Oh ... is there specific types of bonus specialization based on the type of gear? I haven't noticed that you have particular strengths on one type of gear over another
On a completely different note, is there any plans on proving bonuses to gear that + a particular attribute (eg Str, Dex, Cons, Int, etc). On the other hand, maybe the bonuses are the same as if you had boosted Int (increased SP), etc.
Oh oh oh ... would you create special pieces of gear that give you permanent self-buffs - eg a permanent "Stone Skin" or "Deadly Intuition" would be amazing!

slayernz - there are definitely sets of bonuses that are balanced by the ability to only have one of each type + Armor + Weapons. This is especially true with rings. The next new type of effect that will go into the game will be SP Drain (first appearing at late E2A2 and start of E3), but yes we might add +Attribute type gear in time.

Cool ... having a Heavy Neptune could be very useful for Vraes too - not to mention I think ole Shifty Eyes might like a Hydra ...
