New guy here, this is my first post. As a quick note, I got my first tablet (Galaxy Note 8) that came with a $25 credit for the Google Store so I thought I would look for a RGP. I picked HoS out of a group of a huge list of games strictly because it was turn based and quickly found that I was addicted! GREAT game for a low price. Heck, I even purchased the extra characters just because I think the game is worth the $$!
Anyhow, I digress; my first question for the boards is pretty simple. I looked on these boards and couldn’t find an answer (It’s probably right in front of me!) so I’ll ask, even if it is stupid. I notice a lot of things like barrels and things. Can these be “checked” for treasure? Especially things like tables and what appear to be book shelves. They have what appears to be Red and Blue brackets on them, as if they are searchable but I can’t find a way to do it. Am I wasting time, are they just eye candy or am I missing something?

Hi godhammer, and welcome to the forum! Glad you love HoS, as there are a great number of addicted players here in the community. All of the barrels and bookshelves and the like are purely aesthetic. The only things you can properly interact with are: 1) Chests - Plain chests = Open with any character - Blue-locked Chests = must be unlocked with a spell (Stealth char or wiz char) - Red-locked Chests = Can only be opened after an event/encounter 2) Doors Same color-coding as the chests. Plain, Blue-locked, and Red-locked. 3) Floor tile traps (you obviously don't want to walk on these) - Either avoid or use your stealth character to disarm. - There is a thread on how to identify floor tile traps 4) Switches - Click on them and they change.  5) Secret entrances - Kind of like the doors thing, but hidden. There is a thread on how to identify secret doors 6) Marker stones/banners - You can't change them, but when you click on them, they reveal some information. 7) Characters and creatures - obviously if you click on these you can interact with them |

godhammer- welcome to the forum! The barrels are purely for decoration, there are chests (which I'm sure you've already found) and also items hidden on certain tiles tucked away in corners of different maps, on those tiles can be found armour, rings and other goodies. There are also hidden doors throughout the game, only on man-made walls (look for the arrow on the wall tile!) You have stumbled across one of the best developer teams on the markets, and the community on this forum is very helpful and willing to answer any question, no matter how trivial it may seem. Andrew ( fallen) and Cory ( Cory Trese) are very active on the forum, and update the games as often as they can, improving every time. They are also very open for feedback, so any suggestions are always welcome!
