Combat

So Ive been thinking that maybe there can be combat like your captain can buy weapons for himself and stuff giving him an edge in combat and the way that the combat could be would be like the ship combat where you different things to chose (broadside,long gun,etc.) you could like have like an attack option or like a parry option or block or whatever and it'll be turn based like you get a turn then your enemy gets a turn. I thought it would be a really cool part in ship combat where when the two captains clash the combat thing could show up. I think it would be a really cool feature but its just an idea.

I remember in "Pirates!" I always resorted to the Captain on Captain fencing to take my band of 50 and defeat/sack the fort at Cartagena just by bashing a couple of buttons. Seemed like an unbalanced way of winning things. But, since it was easy, I couldn't help myself.

salamano - agreed - we'd make sure that it was a risky endeavor for sure! But, if your Captain is built for Fencing, then it might be your preferred way to finish off an enemy.
