A Krangg fleet found an isolated colony and wiped out the defenders, then since they didn't have world destroyers they couldn't invade or find my other colonies so they just returned to their planets. Sort of like this other time startradersrpg.proboards.com/thread/8832/fighting-red-zorgaHow about xenos blockade a system if they don't have troops? Program xeno to surround the colony to prevent it from building ships. Penalize the colony one trade point for each xeno ship adjacent or in its refueling zone. I don't know how the xeno planetary economy works but maybe there could be a similar penalty for player ships in their space Also during this battle, I had a colony ship in orbit when the xeno showed up, and it escaped while the templar made their stand. Instead of retreating directly to my other colonies, I went the other way until the ship was out of sight, then circled around. None of them tried to follow it, maybe since they were busy fighting and then it was out of sight, out of mind. Maybe program xeno to remember the last location of fleeing ships and search in that direction

I too never quite figure out how the xeno works to the letter, not in Regular or Hard. In general high level term, I sort of know how to work around xenos.
Here are some oddball things: - Unlike human ships where you may continue to shoot your mass driver when fuel tank is dry but you are almost done at the objective. Xeno ships just run away giving you the rare breathing room to regroup. - World Killer only show up a 1 single ship, even in Hard mode. Unless it approaches a poorly defend system, I usually able to surround it with my mob and destroy it. It got through before but xeno could have done better if there were more than 1. I doubt anyone of us will send single Military Transport in so while xeno does that is beyond me. - You can send a cheap fast ship as decoy and you can draw away the xeno mob. Then you send in the invasion fleet of multiple Military Transports and their escorts. - On the bigger maps, xenos just stay "out there" until I find them first. To make the game more interesting, they need to be a tad more aggressive. I like to see them come after me towards after certain number of years into the game. - Where are the Xeno tankers? - I have never seen a Xeno World Killer attack follow by a Xeno colony ship. I guess they don't expect the World Killer to complete its mission.
