My sincere hope is that once our vision for the encounter system is done something like this will happen ...
On the run, with a corporate hit team hot on the trail. Our Knight dodges between buildings, looking for a way out. They're close, heat is rising. Glancing over his shoulder, he slots the VChip ... but the voice on the other end of the phone says "No."
Running hard now, he knows he has to make it to safe ground before they catch up. One more block to the wall and then a quick bribe and ... that's when he sees her. She's in trouble, the thugs harassing her aren't even corporate, she just strayed to close to the wall. Flipping to thermographic vision, the Knight reassures himself -- her fear is real, probably not an ambush. She's wired too -- maybe a Hacker. Possible contact, probably value very high.
... what do you do? Roll the dice? Turn away and leave her to the street thugs? ... The Connector is waiting and the stakes couldn't be higher...

well that doesn't mean it will be easy to geek the thugs before they finish the wetwork v. hacker.

Well if there's anything I've learned about your games, its that it won't be easy to geek the thugs... ever!

thetxlibra - electronics will be on the rise in the future, affecting picking locks, freaking terminals, using medical devices, involved in encounters, and the like. Its a little under played right now, but... BETA =)

one feature we are def. adding is optimum range for weapons. right now it is just max range which obviously isn't a very good model for firearms =)

Cool, it would be nice to see some sort of shot drop off. Maybe ammo types that give greater range but less power and vice versa?
