On my screen hos GPlay and hos elite (amazon) are not distinguishable by name.

Looking forward to the kickstarter funding. Maxed out my available funds the first day so couldn't participate in the matches..

Crimson - this is correct, if you download Heroes of Steel Elite from Amazon and Google Play, it is impossible to tell the difference.

fallen on gplay its not elite. Just amazon the icons and names are the same.

Crimson - confused, as Amazon Elite is called "Heroes of Steel RPG Elite" with a gold rimmed icon. GPlay Free is "Heroes of Steel RPG" with a silver rimmed icon. You're phone may cut the name short.

Crimson - Android decides to shorten the labels so that it fits in a grid. Dependent on your device, etc. The OS is in control of that kind of thing. If you go into Settings > Apps you will see that they do, in fact, have different names.
